One of the best ways to identify metals is looking at them and their visuals and looking at their shape, color and feeling the surface and there is another way to identify the metal, it's by looking at it's spark while grinding them and looking at how far the spark reaches and other details.

We can know through the metal color, and hardness it is magnetic or not
